RAUM FÜR ILLUSTRATION (Space for Illustration) is a gallery, shop, zine library, riso printing and design studio based in Hamburg, St. Pauli. Since 2019, the RFI has realized 38 exhibitions, including with illustrators and comic artists such as Leonie Sadler, Paul Paetzel, Malwine Stauss and Marijpol. Since this fall, the gallery’s centerpiece has been a zine library, with a collection of over 1,500 zines and art books from 25 countries. In the shop they sell prints, zines, shirts and other stuff from the world of illustration. The RFI also implements design projects and strives to connect illustrators with customers.
